| Happy to announce a collaboration with amazing voice of Fred Ventura on the track ‘I’m Not Ready” remixed by Savino, out on Clone CD album “Disco Modernism”. Soon it follow a 12″ on vinyl with the track, a slamming italo disco monster which Fred produced together with Ajello. Super phat basslines (slightly reminding of classic Bobby Orlando tracks) and typical italo disco synths. Fred Ventura is 25 years active in the music business and that’s being celebrated with a nice anniversary collection with some of the best tracks he’s done! A limited edition CD release with 12 tracks produced by Fred together with guys such as I-f, Mauro Farina, Alden Tyrell, Roberto Turatti and others. Classic tracks from the very obscure ‘Love Theme’ from ‘Flexxy Ball’ to the master piece with I-f ‘I cut my Heart out’ and a previously unreleased track with Ajello! 25 years of classic timeless dance music by Fred Ventura and friends! |

Giovedì 20 Eastpak festeggia l’arrivo in Italia di Mark Eley e Wakako Kishimoto . Il team di designer di stanza a Londra - già al lavoro con Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Aexander McQueen, Jil Sander e Cacharel - presenterà i frutti della collaborazione con Eastpak per quattro modelli con il loro seal of approval.
PIG non poteva mancare a questo evento e ha scelto per voi la lineup artistica. Ecco quindi una breve intro alla serata disco oriented che vi abbiamo preparato.
Warm up con Inflagranti, duo formato Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor che si divide tra la Svizzera e NYC, tra i più interessanti interpreti del genere oggi. A seguire il nostro Ajello, portabandiera oggi del suono disco italico e mirabolante disc jockey (provare per credere), il cui ultimo hit Dolphy è stato remixato proprio dai due qui sopra…
Poi un tuffo nel passato, indietro di due decenni abbondanti, e saremo lì, face to face con la leggenda dell’Italo Disco, Alexander Robotnick, rientrato in pista con un live set DA VEDERE.
Chiusura affidata a due tra i nostri preferiti del 2008, anche loro con un po’ di Italia nelle vene (Vito De Luca & Stephen Fasano sono nomi inequivocabili)… Dal Belgio…. Dopo una sequenza interminabile di remix… Tra cui MGMT… Friendly Fires…. E last but not least Grace Jones…

Ajello are Luca ‘DJ Rocca’ Roccatagliati & Fabrizio ‘Taver’ Tavernelli, the residents at Italy’s infamous Maffia Club. After doing various bits and pieces for a bunch of happening labels, the pair have ended up at Rebirth where they have completely excelled themselves. ‘Moody Bang’ comes on like a slice on New York post punk disco from back in the day, before two oozing atmospherics synth riffs come in, the first has got a certain Sabres Of Paradise ‘Haunted Dancehall’ feel about it, closely followed by soaring pads which bring the Simple Minds Balearic anthem ‘Theme For Great Cities’ to mind. As ‘Moody Bang’ ducks, dives & develops you suddenly realise you’re lost in forward thinking electronic space funk of the highest order. Now that’s a good thing.

Ajello are Luca “DJ Rocca” Roccatagliati and Fabrizio “Taver” Tavernelli, resident DJs at the infamous Maffia Club of Reggio Emilia.
A fresh face in the Mantra Vibes Camp, Ajello has released his debut ‘Spasm Odyssey’ album in 2006 and two EPs for Radius and Deep Freeze, plus remixes for labels like Rebirth, Codek, Distinct’ive, Rekids and Philtre.
With “Moody Bang” and “Dolphy” he is again on a mission to provide a modern twist on the italo disco with a very spacey futuristic vibe: Melodic, chuggy, dreamy and…an incredible, sweet and seductive vibe ! Both tracks have been re-edited by Ajello’s friends In Flagranti and Barry Reeves (Dicky Trisco) !
Remixes come courtesy of two great up and coming producers from Germany. Langenberg from Essen drops a warmer and deeper mix between chicago house and Stripped down Detroit with a sophisticated sound that will addict the hips across the world. Tensnake from Hamburg delivers an Italo-disco tinged nu-disco remix crossed with deep house affair and solid synth-driven disco-boogie !

Venerdì 19 settembre - Taver Dj-set @ FuoriOrario - Taneto di Gattatico (RE)
In occasione della riapertura dello storico circolo arci Fuori Orario, Taver mescola e rimescola elettroni, neutroni e positroni dalla consolle posta nella apertissima piazza centrale del locale. In questo caso sarò ambasciatore de “I Vizi del Pellicano” nonchè gra(di)to ospite di Franco Bassi e compagni. Gran sconquasso di ritmi digitali-binari tesi a sovrastare i treni di passaggio. Inizio verso le 22. Tessera arci.
Double Ajello
Doppia penetrazione con i fratelli Ajello nel bollente fine settimana del 12 e del 13 settembre. Il primo appuntamento è il grande Toga Party che, dopo i fasti della prima edizione, si terrà venerdì 12 presso il circolo “I Vizi del Pellicano” nelle sperdute lande dei ronchi di Fosdondo (Correggio). Tra triclini, sesterzi, sontuose libagione garantite dallo staff della Balorda e danze imperiose del power dj-set electro-imperiale dei gladiatori Ajello. Ingresso gratis a chi si presenta in toga, 5 euro per gli altri. Il giorno seguente Ajello si sposta a Parma con tutta la sua carica di elettroni per partecipare a “Generazioni Creative” festival di arte, cultura, scienza e sperimentazione che avrà come cornice il Parco Ex-Eridania. Il dj-set di Ajello sarà al Centro Congressi all’interno dello spazio “Wow!Electroclub” a seguire la performance dei newyorkesi “In Flagranti” per i quali Ajello avevano curato l’ottimo remix “Bang Bang”. L’ingresso è gratuito.

La label YoungOdds presenta un progetto speciale per Ajello. l’underground hit “I wanna be italian too” viene remixato in due versioni (”Main space vocal” e “Search & Destroy dub”) da uno dei nomi più in vista dell’house, Luke Solomon, già al lavoro per etichette quali la Rekids. Ajello a loro volta avevano remixato per Solomon la track “People, Places, Thoughts and faces”, ora tocca all’ inglese rileggere l’originale di Ajello trasformando in una cavalcata acid nella prima versione e in un viaggio deep/dub nella seconda. L’uscita è un vinile speciale che anticipa “Digital Spasm” raccolta digitale di tracce di Ajello remixate da vari artisti ( Reverso 68, Cagedbaby, Max Skiba, Luke Solomon, Nick Chacona…) e viceversa remix commissionati ai nostri da gente come In Flagranti, Diskokaine, Luke Solomon, Lil’ Wolf, N.O.I.A., Alex Dolby, Neon… Il digital remixes album sarà disponibile per il download da metà settembre.
